Introduction

Despite the recent growth in popularity for electric (battery) cars, hydrogen is increasingly present in legislation at EU, national and regional level. The EU Commission imagines hydrogen cars crossing city centers; in Italy planning at the local level continues to focus on hydro-methane, while at national level the parliament is discussing a bill that allocates funds amounting to EUR 15 million / year for this energy carrier. Also companies show their growing commitment with the publication (last month) of a McKinsey study highlighting the maturity of H2 technologies for car transport.

Whoever is interested in updates referring to the hydrogen/FC sector can download the material of a seminar organized by H2IT and HyRaMP, held on 17th December 2010 in Region Lombardia.

This newsletter is the fruit of the collaboration between H2IT and  CReSV (Center for Research on Sustainability and Value), Bocconi University.
