Mission »

H2IT Mission

The Italian Association for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells – H2IT – launched on June 19th 2005 in Milan at the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations, FAST, would formalise the activities of the working groups of the Hydrogen Taskforce Italy and stimulate the creation of an infrastructure for the use of hydrogen. To date the Association counts over 100 members. The goal is to stimulate and develop the market for the use of hydrogen, to create a strong industry voice of companies and institutes involved in the sector, and to secure a leading role for Italy in the world market.

H2IT believes it is important to take advantage of the European and international institutions and professionals positive and growing attention on hydrogen and related technologies. H2IT believes in actively working to transfer this interest in Italy. It is necessary to translate the general goals into specific actions useful for industry and research. Action Plan 2011

On January 21, 2011 the renewed Board of Directors chaired by Lucio Gallo, Board Member of the JTI on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells and Chief Executive Officer of Ansaldo Fuel Cells S.p.A approved the H2IT Action Plan 2011 On January 21, 2011 the renewed Board of Directors chaired by Lucio Gallo, Board Member of the JTI on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells and Chief Executive Officer of Ansaldo Fuel Cells S.p.A approved the H2IT Action Plan 2011. The new council, after three targeted meeting, has defined the specific action lines for the year 2011: Development of short term policy proposals in the field of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells for technological areas Coordination and definition of the shared platform Platform promotion at the governmental and local level Coordination with the European initiatives and key players Collaboration with initiatives of other organizations Organization of the conference on the Italian perspective on hydrogen and fuel cells in May 2011. Support to the “progetto miscela” conference of the Lombardy Region in September 2011
