A building dating from the early ’900 located in Gignod – Valle d’Aosta, is changing its energy class G (an oil boiler) to hydrogen. The needs for heat and electricity will be fully satisfied from renewable sources and the building will be independent of public power distribution networks: “off grid”.
On April 26, 2011 the Veneto Region has published a public call for access to grants for the research and experimental development on hydrogen technology. The notice was published under the directions (set out in the addendum to the program agreement between the Veneto Region and the Ministry of Environment for the realization of a hydrogen district at PortoMarghera) which states that support measures should promote lines of action aimed at the strengthening of a technology supply chain capable of addressing the environmental sustainability of economic growth and competitiveness.
The recipients of contributions, for a total of € 5.816.274, are large, small and medium-sized enterprises on an individual basis or in combination.

La Regione Lombardia ha lanciato un bando per l’assegnazione di contributi destinati a co-finanziare progetti di mobilità sostenibile e a basso consumo energetico che prevedono interventi di: – acquisizione, sia tramite noleggio a lungo termine che acquisto, di veicoli a basso impatto ambientale, – implementazione di servizi di car sharing, ai fini istituzionali dei soggetti beneficiari, – trasformazione di impianto di alimentazione mediante installazione di impianto a metano/Gpl. Per presentare domanda di contributo ai soggetti beneficiari è richiesto l’impegno ad aderire allo specifico sistema di monitoraggio del parco veicolare degli Enti Pubblici, finalizzato alla ottimizzazione delle esigenze di Mobilità dell’ente ed alla progressiva riduzione delle emissioni inquinanti, che sarà realizzato da Regione Lombardia. I termini di apertura del bando vanno dal 14 settembre 2009 al 30 giugno 2010. Agli oneri derivanti dal presente Bando la Regione Lombardia farà fronte mediante risorse stanziate con d.g.r. n. 8/9960 del 29 luglio 2009 per un ammontare totale di 3.600.000 euro, di cui: • 3.000.000 per spese correnti; • 600.000 per spese di conto capitale.
